National Championships in Western and Team Chariot. She has
also placed top ten in numerous national driving competitions and
has frequently been an AMHR All Star.

MoonDust is shown here in our daughter Rebekah’s arms as a
newborn foal. Note the striking white mark on her left side that
looks like a lightning bolt. One night a few days before her birth a
lightning bolt blasted an oak tree. The tree was totally shattered.
You could actually see daylight through the trunk. Her mom,
Bayin, was in the pasture the tree was in. We wonder how close
Bayin was to the tree... did you catch that lightning bolt,
MoonDust?
MoonDust is our most experienced and calmest driving horse.
Parades, noise, and general chaos do not usually bother her. So
when our young friend Faith started driving at age 6 MoonDust
was the natural choice to show her the ropes. Here Faith has an
older rider with her for safety (Heather Bolton) but Faith is the one
doing the driving. And she placed (won a ribbon) with MoonDust
in a very large class of older children driving!
MoonDust is lead horse in all team driving events. Here she is
driving in Draft competition. She was also a top ten horse in 2016
AMHR Draft, Light Harness, and Carriage.
MoonDust is the lead horse in all team driving, including team
chariot. She and her partner Sunset Mountain Painted Liberty won
the 2016 AMHR National Championship in Team Chariot. Both of
them were also 2016 All Stars in Team Chariot.
MoonDust’s dam is Wizards Spell Bayin At The Moon. “Bayin” is
the top producing mare here at Sunset Mountain. Before she
became a brood mare she was a champion driving horse herself.
Three of the four team driving horses here at Sunset Mountain are
out of her. We also have a 2016 foal of hers still available, and she
is in foal again with a due date in mid-March 2017. Bayin has
always produced paints (sometimes bay and white but more
frequently black and white). She also “throws big” with all of her
foals maturing in the 36-38 inch range.
Here is Brooke Glosser driving MoonDust at the 2011 AMHR
National Championship. Brooke won the National Championship
with MoonDust that year. Brooke is now a professional horse
trainer. She now trains all of our horses. For more information on
